FACT is a global non-profit corporation who works to establish standards for high quality medical and laboratory practices in cellular therapies through voluntary inspection and accreditation. This website would move its accreditation process online. It needed to convey their global presence and high standards, while also emphasizing the importance of people and patient care. I created the wireframes for this project, as well as the design. I used cell images as the background for the four main click points at the center of the homepage, representing the four categories a visitor is most likely to be looking for. The imagery tied in the science behind what they do. A smiling patient combined with the lab photo adds warmth and a human quality. There are places where the site is clearly encased and points where it breaks free, showing how cellular therapies are an absolute science but the technology and development is breaking boundaries by leaps and bounds. My design for this website won Interactive Media Awards “Best in Class” in the Health Category, as well as Web Marketing Association’s Standard of Excellence Web Awards in both the Biotechnology and Technology Categories.
